A bride-to-be who claims her fiancé sold their house to "get the perfect ring" has been shamed by internet users who said it looks like "costume jewellery".
The anonymous woman, from the US, posted a photograph of her flower-shaped 'purple diamond' ring to the That's It, I'm Ring Shaming group on Monday.
Anticipating a skeptical response, the bride-to-be declared "Yes it is real and custom designed" and "it's a purple diamond, look it up" alongside the snap.
She then revealed that she and her new fiancé had sold their house in order to pay for the sizable engagement ring.
