In a bizarre coincidence, an old photo was uncovered that included both a groom and his future mother in law, 16 years before they met.
While looking through photos to put in their wedding album, Yiqin Lu and Hedong Zhang noticed a woman who looked like Lu's mother in the background of a photo of Zhang as a 14-year-old boy.
To their amazement, it turned out to be her.
And to make things even weirder, Lu had a separate photo, including just her mother, that was taken on the same day.
"This is incredible," Lu, told Hangzhou Daily. "If there hadn't been a picture, I would have thought this type of story were a fantasy. Now I do believe in destiny."
After further investigation, the couple discovered Zhang and Lu's mother had ended up in the same place that particular day as they on the same tour bus.
"My husband said, 'Although we didn't know each other then, the skies must've planned this for us 16 years ahead of time,'" Lu said, according to Hangzhou Daily. "With this incredible story, we'll cherish our love even more."
It's one of those tales this couple will certainly be telling their future children.
