Richard Branson, the entrepreneurial Virgin tycoon, has revealed he is a member of the mile-high club.
He makes the claim in a forthcoming edition of GQ Magazine, according to the Scotsman newspaper.
In an interview with Piers Morgan, former editor of the Mirror, Branson tells how he met a "very attractive lady" on a flight to Los Angeles when he was 19.
"We got chatting and it went a bit further. And it was every man's dream to be honest," he said.
Branson told Morgan that the problem with aeroplane toilets was that they were very small: "The acrobatics can't take too long because there's no room and people start banging on the door."
In the interview he also claims to have tried class A drugs, including cocaine and ecstasy and says that the Rolling Stones' Keith Richards taught him how to roll a joint.
