Blondie, the band fronted by Debbie Harry, the sex symbol of rock's late-70s New Wave era, are to play an Auckland concert next month.
The band which reformed four years ago will play one New Zealand show at the Civic on Saturday, August 23.
Blondie last played here in 1978, at the height of the era when they were delivering hits such as Dennis, Picture This, Hanging on the Telephone, Call Me, Heart of Glass, and Tide is High.
Harry, 58, toured here under her own name in the late 80s with a band which featured Blondie founder and her long-time partner Chris Stein. This year's line-up includes Stein and other original members, keyboardist Jimmy Destri and drummer Clem Burke.
Tickets for the show go on sale on Saturday.
