Oscar-winning Australian actress Cate Blanchett will star in Cancer Vixen: A True Story, based on a memoir by New Yorker and Glamour magazine cartoonist Marisa Acocella Marchetto.
The film is about her battle with breast cancer, with the support of friends in the fashion industry, while planning her wedding to a celebrity restaurant owner.
Blanchett will next be seen opposite Brad Pitt in Babel.
