Scottish comedian Billy Connolly took in some of Stewart Island's finest at the weekend, including its famed game and seafood.
He and his crew were on the island to film segments for his World Wide Tour television series, as well as doing a show at night, for which he waived his fees.
The Stewart Island community hall meeting room was filled for the show and Connolly had them all in fits with his banter that ranged from religion to marriage, bringing up daughters, and his New Zealand-born wife.
Several times during the show he had to tell the audience to shut up. "I can't hear myself think up here," he said.
Connolly performs in Dunedin tonight then heads to Central Otago to film more scenes for the television show before a Queenstown gig on Thursday.
