Big Mac served with bite taken out of it

An Auckland woman has slammed McDonald's for its "disgusting" customer service after receiving a burger she had paid for with a bite taken out of it.

Lakyn Taite-Allen posted photos of her Big Mac - with a decent chunk-sized bite missing - on her Facebook page, complaining about her ordeal with the McDonald's branch on Lincoln Rd, in Henderson, west Auckland.

"Went through Lincoln Road McDonald's today and received this unpleasant surprise - a bite out of my Big Mac! Went back to find out how this happened, not back in to get a refund or another burger, but more an explanation and all the manager could say was it's impossible for this to happen."

She had ordered the burger as part of a meal with relatives, including her partner and younger brother, Ms Taite-Allen said.

They had gone through the drive-thru to purchase their meal.

She was shocked when she opened her Big Mac box to find not only a chunk taken out of it but that the burger was cold.

Stuff.co.nz reported that McDonald's has since apologised to Ms Taite-Allen about the incident after a review of the kitchen's video cameras showed the burger had been returned by a previous customer and then accidently resold to Ms Taite-Allen.
