Beyonce's nod to grandma

Beyonce Knowles is launching her own fashion line, with the unusual claim that the clothes will be inspired by her seamstress grandmother.

The House of Dereon label is named for Beyonce's grandmother, Agnes Dereon, a seamstress who designed and created clothing for private clients.

"The whole theme is taking nothing and turning it into something because that's what my grandmother did with all kinds of fabrics," Knowles said. "She just turned everything into masterpieces."
