"It's been a fantastic experience" were the parting words from Wairarapa MP Georgina Beyer as she and partner Michael Hoggard became the third couple voted off TV One's Dancing with the Stars.
All the couples had to impress the judges and a national audience with the foxtrot and the paso-doble last night.
Ms Beyer's foxtrot failed to captivate the audience or the judges, and she now joins Nicky Watson and Ewen Gilmour, who were voted off in previous rounds.
In departing, Ms Beyer paid tribute to her partner.
"I owe everything to get me to this stage to Michael Hoggard, one of the country's finest ballroom dancers."
With only five couples left now, demands on the contestants are escalating. The lowest-scoring performance is voted off each round, with points coming equally from the judging panel and audience votes.
Next Sunday the couples will try to samba or Viennese waltz into the next round.
