We've got our eyes on Beyoncé, Russell Crowe and Gigi Hadid this week. Photos / Splash
From the streets to the red carpet, here are the most notable celebrity looks of the week, featuring a bejewelled Beyoncé, Michelle Obama in a show-stopping gown, and a battle of the black suits.
THE BEST
Michelle Obama
The first lady left a lasting impression at her final state dinner in this glitzy rose-gold gown. The glamorous dress has a figure-hugging, old-Hollywood feel with ruching in all the right places.
At an Australian showing of Chasing Great, Richie may have been missing Gemma on his arm but he still looked dapper in a black suit and tie.
Oprah Winfrey
The queen of day-time TV was the epitome of smart-casual dressing in this chic number. Teaming statement spectalces with a fresh white shirt and grey herringbone vest, this was a cool choice for Oprah.
Rihanna
The pop star's latest look is simple but on trend. She layered a pinstripe boyfriend shirt under a short, frayed denim skirt, and kept it stylish with skin-tight, blue velvet boots.
Russell Crowe
It was a good week for men in suits and we think Russell Crowe tops the rest with this satin lapel jacket. He also gets points for the bow tie, and matching black buttons.
Beyoncé
Queen Bee pulled off the tricky trend that is nude dressing by wearing a sheer dress showered in black gems: Ever the classy problem solver, Bey.
THE WORST
Gigi Hadid
After a long run of fantastic outfits, Gigi Hadid has fallen from style's grace by wearing this to a press event in Tokyo. The silky shorts are ill-fitting and the mesh crop top with sparkly knee-highs is just too much.
Why are celebrities trying to make black lace body stockings a thing? Quit while you are ahead, Nicki.
Genevieve Angelson
Perhaps if she were in costume for this weekend's Armaggedon expo we could forgive this elfish nightmare. But for some inexpilcable reason Genevieve Angelson, the star of new TV show Good Girls Revolt, has chosen this for a red carpet appearance.
