American ice cream giant Ben & Jerry's has opened its first store in New Zealand.
Setting up shop on Auckland's Ponsonby Rd and supplying to a selection of retailers, here's everything you need to know about what's on offer from the chunky, swirly ice cream makers.
How much?
Scoops: Depending on the size of your scoop, $5.90 per ice cream. Tubs: $12.99 for 485ml, $4.99 for 120ml.
Ben & Jerry's is open at 160 Ponsonby Rd from 11am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 11am to 12am Friday and Saturday.
What's up with their waffle cones?
The folks at Ben & Jerry's like to dress up their waffle cones by dipping them in chocolate then adding either Oreo cookies, 100's and 1000's or chocolate sprinkles. You can also add brownie and waffle to your ice cream.
You'll also find Ben & Jerry's in selected retailers including Nosh food stores.
So many flavours:
Good luck choosing from a selection of 18 flavours including Triple Caramel Chunk, Coffee, Coffee Buzzbuzzbuzz! and Phish Food (marshmallows, caramel swirls and chocolate fish).
A swirly, chunky history:
Ben & Jerry's is the creation of Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. The pair set up their first store in the US in an old petrol station in Burlington, in 1978.
Noted for its chunks and swirls, Ben & Jerry's now operates in more than 30 countries.
