Who wouldn't want to wear something called Miss Hibiscus? This has a devil-may-care feel, and the slanted applicator means application is no-fuss. It's light on the mouth and the colour is a pale raspberry.

3. Bobbi Brown Spun Gold Shimmer Lip Gloss

You know you're wearing this gloss. Sometimes there's nothing quite as satisfying as wearing honest to goodness thick gloss. Somehow it makes you want to pout even more. Gives full shine, a sheer golden bronze colour and a lovely vanilla smell.

4. M.A.C Fulfilled Plushglass

This is officially classed as a creamy strawberry pink colour. If that doesn't scream swimsuit, nothing will. As well, this plumps up lips with nanosomes of soybean and licorice extracts to help to stimulate collagen production and create fuller lips. But the fun doesn't stop there. Lemon oil creates a cooling sensation while a vanilla compound warms simultaneously.

5. Elizabeth Arden Bohemian Bronze Double Intrigue Lipcolor

This is cheating. There's a lipstick one end and a lipgloss at the other, so you can get rich colour that weighs practically nothing with the lipstick and then you can run the gloss over the top for maximum effect. Or you can just use the warm bronze gloss on its own.
