KEY POINTS:
Supermarkets may not have hairdressers at the ready to dispense invaluable advice about the right shampoo for your hair, but they have other virtues. They're open long after the salon has closed and if you suddenly realise you simply have to wash your hair, a mercy dash is the answer.
1. Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Shampoo - $6.49 for 355ml
The revamped Herbal Essences range has a sense of humour. It's possible to have a laugh as you shampoo with this orchid and coconut milk-infused shampoo for dehydrated hair if you read the bottle as you lather: "Repeat after me: I'm so quenched" and "let me soak it to you". Okay, it wears thin quickly, but this leaves hair feeling silky and supple.
