Beach Boys to be honoured in hometown

A monument is to be built just a few kilometres from the surf and sand the Beach Boys celebrated, marking the spot where Brian, Carl and Dennis Wilson grew up.

The Wilson home in Hawthorne, California, was razed to make room for the Century Freeway, so the monument will sit at the end of dead-end 119th St, next to a sound wall built to mute traffic noise.
