Bart Simpson is coming to New Zealand. Well, his voice, Nancy Cartwright is.
The cartoon actor will perform a stage show that promises insight into what it's like to be one of the world's most recognisable voices and screen icons. My Life as a Ten-Year-Old Boy is the story of the rise of The Simpsons told by Cartwright and her alter ego, Bart, about the world of voice-acting and animation with anecdotes and video clips.
Cartwright is also the voice of other Simpsons' characters including Ralph Wiggum, Nelson Muntz and Todd Flanders. She has also voiced characters on shows including Rugrats and Richie Rich and showed up in the flesh in Fame, Cheers and more.
Cartwright performs at the Civic Theatre on May 18. Tickets from Ticketek.
