First drinks: were chosen from the $12 cocktail menu. Being a dessert kitchen the cocktails had the added sweetness kick of Movenpick sorbets and ice creams. The bartender advised us to not have the drink we chose from the list but to go for her pick of a sorbet and bubbles concoction, which turned out to be an average choice. I went for a delicious Frangelico and nutty ice cream creation.
The vibe is: quiet. We were two of only six people in the bar on a Friday night. We imagine the spacious outdoor area overlooking Aotea Square will be a great little sunspot in the warmer months though.
On the stereo: An unusual but relaxed choice of 1950s lounge music, rock and roll and jazz.
The bathrooms were: non-existent. Head inside to Metro and there are public toilets hidden just a few doors down. Don't be alarmed by the thought of using public toilets - these ones are newly renovated and fancy.
