First drinks: Like the bar, Mo's menu is compact but classic. We went for a traditional margarita and a manhattan, both of which were competently executed. They may not have the artistic flair of other more modern establishments but they tick the box.
The vibe is: Cosy. It claims to be Auckland's friendliest little bar and it probably is. It is possibly also Auckland's smallest bar. But that sense of intimacy makes it feel almost like a secret club. Despite its compact size, you can always find a nook to chat in. And the staff are lovely.
It smells of: Nothing on this particular day. When the windows are wide open, it's a breezy little spot. In winter, Mo's is famous for serving mulled wine, which perfumes the bar and the street corner outside.
On the stereo: A vintage selection of jazz and 60s pop.
