Babes knock Dolls off UK charts

LONDON - The Sugababes ended the three-week reign of another all girl group the Pussycat Dolls at the top of the British singles charts on Sunday, the Official UK charts Company said.

The threesome's "Push The Button" went straight into the charts in top spot, giving the band their fourth number one hit.

It meant "Don't Cha" by the Pussycat Dolls, formed from a Los Angeles burlesque act, and New York rapper Busta Rhymes slipped down to second place.

Jamaican DJ Sean Paul was unchanged in third with "We Be Burnin'" while Chicago hip-hop producer Kayne West dropped down to fourth with "Gold Digger", which features Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx.

TV talent show band Liberty X were another new entry in fifth with "Song 4 Lovers", while Daniel Powter was in sixth with "Bad Day" -- the tenth week in the top 10 for the Canadian singer-songwriter.

Jazz singer Katie Melua dropped to seventh with "Nine Million Bicycles", ahead of "All About Us" by Russian girl duo Tatu, who gained media notoriety two years ago because of a video which featured the girls in school uniforms kissing.

"Doctor Pressure" from Scottish dance producer Mylo was in ninth, while "Call My Name" by Welsh soprano turned pop star Charlotte Church only managed to debut in 10th place.
