The Amazing Face: Four Centuries of Portraits runs at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery until May 28. The exhibition traces some of the major trends and changes in portrait painting over more than 400 years, and examines a few curiosities along the way. Portraits include Sir Joshua Reynolds' painting of Maria, Countess Waldegrave, C.F. Goldie's All 'e same t'e Pakeha, Raymond Ching's Rebecca and the Music Student and a selection of contemporary photographs.
