Are We There Yet? leads at box office

Road trip comedy Are We There Yet? earned US$18.5 million ($25.8 million) to quickly arrive at first place in the North American weekend box office.

In its opening weekend, the family picture starring rapper-actor Ice Cube sent Coach Carter back to the bench. The basketball drama brought in US$11 million ($15.4 million) for second place.

Assault on Precinct 13, a remake of the 1976 classic about cops and criminals joining forces against a gang jail siege, took in US$7 million ($9.8 million) and finished sixth.
