Most women dream about how they would like to be proposed to, with many imagining their partners getting down on one knee with a huge ring in a romantic setting.

In a heartwarming new thread on secret sharing app Whisper people reveal how their partner popped the question, reports Daily Mail.

Making use of the app's anonymity loved-up users spared no detail over what finally caused them to say 'Yes'.

The tales ranged from quirky to tear-jerking; including one woman who saw her disabled partner walk for the first time - and he even managed to get down on one knee to pop the question.

Another groom had tailored his proposal exactly to his partner's niche interests which just happened to be Pokemon.

And one romantic managed to slip a ring on his girlfriend's finger while she was still sleeping so she woke up to him asking for her hand in marriage.
