The latest winner of America's Next Top Model was expected to arrive today as a VIP guest for NZ Fashion Week.
26-year-old Krista White won the trip during a "mile-high" challenge, in which the show's contestants walked the aisle of an Air New Zealand plane en route to Queenstown.
The series will screen here early next year.
Fashion Week director Myken Stewart said White's presence would create worldwide publicity for the event.
"We always have good international media coverage but you bring in someone like her and it really goes up."
Stewart said it was a "fantastic windfall" that White not only won the trip, but the entire competition. "Coincidently, Krista won the whole thing which is great for us and great for the designers. It brings the American media here."
Overall fashion week generates $64 million worth of media coverage around the world.
Unlike other international models White will walk almost exclusively in shows sponsored by Air New Zealand.
ANTM winner here for fashion week [SPOILER ALERT]
