LONDON - Three anti-fur protesters burst on to the stage on Sunday during London Fashion Week's first show, which was by designer Julien Macdonald.
Carrying signs saying "Fur Kills" and "Fur is Dead", two campaigners from the animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) ran on to the stage shouting their slogans before security dragged them off.
At the end of the show, as Macdonald walked up the catwalk, a third protester ran on to the stage with a sign saying "Macdonald Fur Scum".
The Welsh designer, who did not use fur in this show but has used it in the past, laughed off the experience and said all publicity was good publicity.
"There are far more important things to worry about like the tsunami and what happened in New Orleans than worrying about a fur coat and a dead animal," he told reporters after the show.
In 2003, campaigners stormed his show during the February Fashion Week as he made extensive use of the material.
Fashion Week finishes on Thursday.
