Anna Nicole's ex tells Stern to get real

Photographer Larry Birkhead, a former boyfriend of Anna Nicole Smith, says he is the real father of the reality TV star's newborn girl - and he is seeking a DNA test to prove it.

Smith's lawyer, Howard Stern, told CNN's Larry King Live he was the "proud father" of Dannie Ray Hope, born on September 7, and planned to marry Smith.

But Birkhead said Stern's remarks were laughable and that "Larry King didn't even believe Howard".

This month, Smith's son, Daniel, died of a lethal combination of drugs that caused an irregular heartbeat. He died while visiting his mother in the hospital where she had just given birth.
