Police were called to some McDonald's restaurants on Saturday after a PR stunt to bring back a rare sauce backfired.
In 1998, McDonald's did a promotional campaign for Disney's Mulan that included a new Szechuan sauce for Chicken McNuggets. It became well known after featuring in the popular cartoon Rickand Morty.
On Saturday select McDonald's locations across the United States gave away Szechuan Sauce, in response to an avalanche of demands from fans of the Adult Swim cartoon.
In one video, police can be seen holding back people chanting "we want sauce".
