Pamela Anderson, the former Baywatch actress, will add some star power to Air New Zealand Fashion Week in Auckland this September.
The Vivienne Westwood model will showcase new label Muse, an "eco and animal friendly" line of clothes.
NZ Fashion Week managing director Pieter Stewart said: "We were approached via US fashion contacts for Muse to show their collection at ANZFW and were delighted that they had chosen to show in New Zealand".
MTV Asia host and former model Denise Keller will also attend.
This year's line-up was announced yesterday with a strong showing from several local names despite challenging times in the sector.
"We work to promote and sell designer collections and as such will always adapt and change in challenging times, to suit the industry," said Mrs Stewart.
Kate Sylvester will return after opting out last year and showing at Australian Fashion Week in April.
"I love doing shows. It's our chance to present our entire vision to our market; they are a really positive way to celebrate the brand and our industry, so after a year off we felt it was really important to participate again," she said.
Other local labels that will showcase their winter 2010 collections include Zambesi, Trelise Cooper, Nom.d, Karen Walker, Huffer, Annah Stretton, Stolen Girlfriends Club, Cybele, Twenty-seven Names, Juliette Hogan, Sera Lilly and Salasai.
Adrian Hailwood will make a comeback after shuttering his label earlier this year.
Lonely Hearts and Yvonne Bennetti will not show, nor will Wellington-based designer Alexandra Owen.
The GHD New Generation show will showcase eight up-and-coming designers and the Miromoda show will feature the creations of eight top Maori fashion designers.
The public will have a chance to get involved with Air New Zealand Fashion Weekend as well as the New Zealand Herald Designer Garage Sale.
Fashion Week runs from September 21 to 25.
