For those sick of domestic chores, a group of Israeli students may have the answer.
They have invented robots that can perform menial household tasks - including the cleaning of toilets and windows.
The toilet-cleaning robot utilises an automated brush which scrubs the inside of the bowl in much the same way as an egg beater works its way around the edge of a mixing bowl.
And the window-cleaning robot uses magnets to draw itself along a window pane, polishing the glass to a streak-free clean.
If the machines catch on they could forever change the way housework is carried out.
