She's here to show off her new lingerie collection but Heidi Klum stayed covered up as she walked the red carpet at SkyCity last night, sporting a loose blouse and trouser combo while flashing a beaming smile at waiting photographers.
Around 150 VIP guests were invited to the event, which featured underwear-clad models - both male and female - sauntering between champagne-swilling guests.
She told waiting reporters she wouldn't have a chance to see much of New Zealand during her whirlwind visit but hoped to return one day on holiday soon.
Klum took over as the face and creative director of Bendon's Intimates collection this month, replacing fellow supermodel Elle Macpherson.
Speaking to the Herald on the red carpet, Klum said her aim is to design flattering lingerie for women of all shapes and sizes, not just those who share her slender frame.
"I think that all women are beautiful and all women love beautiful lingerie. I do believe that."
And she's adamant that her designs will work for a wide range of women.
"I think it's important that we have a great, gigantic range of sizes. We go up to G. There's not a lot of companies out there that cater for women that have G. For me that's very important."
But she says she's always open to feedback.
"I love hearing from women that they love my lingerie. Or if they have ideas of things they don't have in their closet that they would like to have."

Guests included Bendon shareholder and Warriors co-owner Eric Watson and several NRL players and dignitaries, who arrived following the season launch of the NRL ahead of this weekend's Auckland Nines competition.
Television, radio and media personalities were also in ready supply.
Klum charmed the crowd with her easy humour and warmth, at one point teasing host Dominic Bowden until he revealed his own underwear to the supermodel. They were Heidi Klum Intimates, of course.
Earlier in the day, Klum tweeted a picture of herself reading the Herald aboard a private jet, writing: "Coming to you next New Zealand ... . It's my first visit and I'm so excited!"
Klum officially launched her new venture at Sydney's Bondi Beach on Monday, before heading to Melbourne and Auckland. In March, she'll continue the campaign on to New York and London.
Today she's scheduled to have high tea with fashion media before jetting out this evening.
