The Clueless actress revealed her unorthodox method for feeding 10-month-old Bear - chewing food then spitting it into the youngster's mouth - in a video posted on her blog, The Kind Life.
She is seen in the clip holding a small bowl and putting a spoonful of food in her mouth.
She then chews it up before transferring it mouth-to-mouth with Bear reaching up for it.

In an accompanying blog post, she wrote: "I just had a delicious breakfast of miso soup, collards and radish steamed and drizzled with flax oil, cast iron mochi with nori wrapped outside, and some grated daikon. Yum! I fed Bear the mochi and a tiny bit of veggies from the soup... from my mouth to his. It's his favourite... and mine.
"He literally crawls across the room to attack my mouth if I'm eating. This video was taken about a month or two ago when he was a bit wobbly. Now he is grabbing my mouth to get the food!"
Alicia previously revealed she and husband Christopher Jarecki will raise Bear to follow the same vegan diet as theirs.
She said: "Bear was grown on vegan food and we'll continue nourishing him with a healthy diet.
"He'll be eating an organic plant-based diet. I intend to take great care of his precious new baby body so I'm committed to giving him nothing but the purest and most healthy food possible.
"We want to keep his immune system strong so that he'll be super healthy - which is just one of the many reasons he will eat vegan."
