Alan Jackson is the second-biggest country music star of the 90s behind Garth Brooks. Unlike Brooks, this country music legend from Georgia is more sincere, thanks to his fatherly tone. Those new to country music beware, he plays the kind of music that to the uninitiated seems like every song sounds the same. But the lyrics are something everyone can smile at.

Key tracks: Five O'Clock Somewhere is a highlight just for the line "work day passes like molasses in winter time". The fiddly-diddly Right On The Money, to use the words of Mr Jackson himself, "goes right to my heart".
