The sky-high answer to speed-dating has arrived, with Air New Zealand launching an air-dating variety of the service.
In a new venture, coined "love at first flight", the airline says it is aiming to help single Americans find New Zealand dates with a themed flight headed for a dual hemisphere
singles party.
Passengers on the October 13 flight would board in Los Angeles, bound for Auckland, and would eventually arrive at Skycity's Convention Centre for the Great Matchmaking Ball, Air New Zealand general manager marketing Steve Bayliss said.
"If your dating profile says you enjoy fine wine and long walks on the beach, then New Zealand is your perfect place for romance," Mr Bayliss said.
"Plus our down-to-earth, warm and wonderful people are an added bonus.
