With roots in hardcore and punk, AFI have developed their sound to incorporate electronica, hip-hop and pop to create something individual.
The band's album Decemberunderground debuted at number one on the United States album chart when it was released a few months ago and also did well in New Zealand.
AFI tickets go on sale September 20.
Psychedelic folk-rocker Robyn Hitchcock is coming to New Zealand with a mini-supergroup in tow. Hitchcock's band includes REM guitarist Peter Buck, former Ministry drummer Bill Rieflin, and REM touring musician Scott McCaughey. They play the Kings Arms on October 24.
Australian punk and rockabilly trio The Living End play two shows in Auckland on November 3, at the Kings Arms, and November 4 at Studio.
