WASHINGTON - Former Beverly Hills 90210 star Tori Spelling married her fiance Dean McDermott on Sunday on a private tropical island in Fiji, People magazine has reported.
The magazine said the couple, who met last summer in Ottawa while filming the TV movie Mind Over Murder, got married barefoot and wearing white in a private nondenominational ceremony.
"I've never had as much of a desire to get married and make a woman my wife as I've had with her. The feeling is overwhelming. We're soul mates," the magazine quoted McDermott as saying.
Spelling, 32, and McDermott, 39, got engaged in December, just a few months after Spelling's first spouse, actor-writer Charlie Shanian, filed for divorce just 15 months after they were married in a lavish ceremony at the Beverly Hills home of her father, TV producer Aaron Spelling.
McDermott filed for divorce last fall from his wife of 12 years, Canadian TV personality Mary Jo Eustace.
Spelling is best known for the 10 years she spent on the popular Fox television series Beverly Hills 90210. She has also appeared in such films as Scaryvie 2 and Troop Beverly Hills.
