Pacman on drugs. That's the best way to describe this hyped-up platform/arcade game from British company SCI.
They describe it as a "fast and furious psychedelic 3D enigma" but it's hard to be overly positive about Live Wire.
It would be an excellent game for a PlayStation session with a few mates on a wet Sunday afternoon when there was no rugby on television.
But it's hardly the sort of game you'd buy specifically for a $2000 PC, and you would have to be some sort of masochist to work through the full 50 levels.
One great thing about Live Wire is its sound. While the game isn't fantastic, the music is excellent - 12 acid house tracks put together by top DJ Allister Whitehead from London's Ministry of Sound.
Required: Pentium 133, 16Mb Ram.
A real Live Wire
