This is taking hotpants to a new level.
Fashion brand Y/Project is flogging a pair of $470AUS ($490NZD) jeans knickers — they're high-waisted, with a zip front and button at the waistband, they're basically a pair of undies … but made of denim.
And they've raised eyebrows online, where they were described as "ugly" and "horrible", The Sun reports.
Described as a pair of "cotton denim hi-cut shorts" on the Parisian designer's website, the denim panties are marketed as having "five pockets" and "belt-loops at the waistband".
In a design seemingly plucked straight from Nicki Minaj or Madonna's wardrobes, the denim panties also feature "copper-tone hardware" and "tonal stitching", according to a description on luxury shopping site, Ssense.
