If you've ever watched your cat go into battle with a bird, or been concerned by the late night scowls of your pet scrapping with the neighbour's moggy, the latest in feline accouterments is for you.
With a 3D printer and the internet, you can make your very own cat armour. Created by Print That Thing, the instructions have been uploaded to Thingiverse.
One eager cat protector has trialed the pattern using ABS filament and jewellery hoops, and he was thrilled with the result.
Andrew Sink from the blog Sink Hacks said of his cat armour: "The suit has a solid feel to it, and is articulated nicely, allowing it to move with the cat! I scaled it down to 95% so it would fit my little cat, but left the tail pieces and stinger at full size. I printed it using Hatchbox Gold ABS Filament, so it would have a metallic look to it!"
