Sunday roast
Replace a rib of beef or lamb with fast roasted salmon fillet (cooks in 4 to 6 minutes), served with roasted parsnips, onions and carrots tossed in thyme. Serve with a gravy of chicken stock and thyme.

Make a healthy version of fish and chips with pan fried potato cakes (grated with onions and parsley for flavour) and quickly seared wood roasted salmon. Serve with a lemony mayonnaise for breakfast, a warm lemony sauce for lunch.
Fast food
Marinade salmon loins in teriyaki sauce and sesame oil or seeds. Stir fry green veges and carrots, adding mirin, soy sauce and ginger, quickly grill the salmon and serve on a bed of udon noodles.
