Shake a stick
Nibbles for the game-watching crowd don't come easier than threading chunks of biersticks with cubes of haloumi cheese and pepperdew peppers (extra tasty when they've been grilled). Or alternate with roasted capsicum , sundried tomatoes and salty olives.
Jambalaya
A spicy Cajun feast for a crowd. Brown chicken, celery, garlic, onions and peppers, add rice, chopped biersticks and stock and simmer till the rice is cooked. Add plenty of spicy tabasco heat (or chilli), canned tomatoes, some prawns at the last minute. Perfect washed down with beer.
Spanish pizza
Slices of bierstick, layered with thin sliced potatoes and peppers, browned shallots and a tomato passata on a thin pizza base make an Iberian twist on pizza classic.
