He has contacted mall security as well as police about the spate of burglaries.
Mr Olds believes a small group of young people might be responsible, considering what has been stolen.
Confectionary on the bench was the initial target but the thefts have escalated to include Shott bottles and containers of stock under the main serving bench.
"Fortunately no one has taken anything of major value such as the Eftpos system, a grinder or even the coffee machine.
"There's seems to be an attitude, by whoever is doing this, of 'what are you going to do now'.
"My gut feel is it's probably two or three people doing this because there would have been a fair bit of stuff to carry.
"People are saying there's a little group of juveniles that's doing this sort of thing."
Mr Olds, who owns the coffee cart with his wife Annatjie, was saddened society was developing young criminals.
"We allow this sort of thing to continue and there's no real effort being put in to stamp it out, to nip it in the bud.
"We are setting up children, or someone else, to become a repeat thief."
Mr Olds, who has a background in project management, said it was important to look for the cause.
"If you don't attack the cause, then the symptoms will remain.
"I'm seriously worried about the country, in fact the whole world."
He felt people didn't "stand for" anything anymore and were "almost afraid to say something, for fear of treading on somebody's toes".
"Must we just sit and watch these things, and allow them to happen, or at some stage make a stand and fight for what is right?
"We run away from confrontation these days because we're not prepared to stand up for something.
"Somebody has got to get some change going somewhere, because if we don't, the future looks very gloomy."
