New World Otaki owner Steven Cole and butchery manager Craig Taylor have fended off dozens of challengers to take home the coveted best pork sausage prize in the annual New World North Island Sausage Competition.
"I'm pretty stoked that little New World Otaki scooped the pool with our pure pork sausage," Steven said.
"Craig's recipe is clearly a real winner — both he and I take pride in making delicious sausages in store which our customers absolutely love.
"The award-winning pure pork sausage is available now along with our gourmet beef and our gourmet lamb, all made the traditional and natural way with top quality meat."
Steven started his career in a butcher's shop in Temuka and is the proud owner-operator of New World Otaki.
