Kapiti College students glam it up for ball

WELL DONE: Kapiti College ball organising committee.

Kapiti College held its annual ball at Southward Theatre on Saturday night.

Students arrived in everything from a firetruck to vintage cars to a pink 'hummerzine'.

The 450 students and teachers attending the event danced to DJ Mars and Wellington band The Business.

The King and Queen of the Ball were Tessa Roderiqo and Connor Gilhooly, while the title of Year 12 Prince and Princess went to Lucia Petterson and Lachlan McKay.

Best dressed were Nikau Wineera and Paige Edwards, with Paige having sewn her own dress.

Principal Tony Kane said the number attending was the largest in his time at the school and the crowd had clearly enjoyed themselves.

"The photographers and photobooths were as popular as the dance floor and the chocolate fountain was a hit.

"It was just a fabulous evening."

Masquerade was the theme of the ball.
