Work is well under way to create a new flight information services tower at Kapiti Coast Airport.
The steel frame of the three storey AD Architecture designed building has now been erected, with the tower expected to be complete in July.
"It's a modern, purpose-built facility, ideally positioned midway along the airport runway, ensuring excellent visibility across all airport operational areas," airport chief executive Robert Binney said.
Staff from Airways NZ, an organisation which collaborated with Kapiti Coast Airport on the design of the tower, will provide aerodrome flight information services from the facility.
These services support the safe and efficient operation of flight services at the airport.
