A former police officer's name suppression has lapsed, revealing him as the man charged with theft from a Taranaki hapu.
Shaun Joseph Keenan is accused of taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from Ngati Te Whiti Whenua Topu Trust.
The 55-year-old served as project manager for a $4.5 million marae build, which was scrapped earlier this year due to allegations of missing money.
Keenan was due to appear in the New Plymouth District Court on August 2.
