The Sky Tower will be lit up in orange again this week, during the final week of Auckland's Matariki Festival celebrating Maori New Year.
Sky City says it will light up the Sky Tower in shades of orange like a sunrise, to recognise the Matariki constellation which rises in the north-east like the sun.
Auckland Council and Sky City will also co-host Te Korakora on Federal carnival this Friday to celebrate the end of the festival.
Last week the Sky Tower was lit up in the red, white and blue colours of the Iraqi flag to commemorate victims of the ISIS attack in Baghdad, following a public campaign.
It has also been in rainbow colours to commemorate victims of the Orlando attacks and celebrate Saturday's 30th anniversary of homosexual law reform.
