An online registration service for Maori will be launched on October 8 by Tuhono, which describes itself as an advocate for, and contributor to, networks of Maori individuals, iwi organisations and other entities.
The concept aims to get the 98,000 Maori already registered with Tuhono to encourage the registration of their whanau members, the organisation said.
Individuals could keep their contact details up to date and remain informed by their iwi on issues that might be of interest or benefit to them.
