Million dollar te reo push

A million-dollar push to get more people speaking Maori was launched in Wellington yesterday.

The Maori Language Commission, Te Taura Whiri i te Reo, plans to run the $4 million language programme, Korero Maori, over four years.

Plans for this year include a game show on Maori television, te reo radio drama serial, an information kit for new parents and phrasebooks.
