League to annouce winner today

The Maori Women's Welfare League will today announce the results of its presidential election at its national conference in Hastings. It has been the most closely followed race in decades after the league initially disqualified Destiny Church co-leader Hannah Tamaki from running. Mrs Tamaki won a High Court order to force her reinstatement. There are seven candidates.
