A group of North Auckland Maori yesterday lost their appeal against an eviction order from a property in Kaikohe over which they claimed tangata whenua rights. In the High Court at Whangarei, Justice Ailsa Duffy dismissed the appeal of the group, known as Nga Uri o Tupoto, although she did not doubt their sincerity.
