KEY POINTS:
Maori activist Tame Iti spent a night in jail this week for breaching his bail conditions, it was revealed today.
Iti was bailed after being arrested in connection with the nationwide "terror" raids in October.
He is facing firearms charges.
Police said Iti was required to report to Whakatane police on Monday as part of his bail terms, but did not turn up until the next day and was arrested.
He was kept in a cell overnight to await a court appearance before being bailed again yesterday, following a warning from a judge to stick to his bail conditions.
