KEY POINTS:
A poll shows Maori Party challenger Derek Fox and Labour MP Parekura Horomia neck and neck with Maori voters in the Ikaroa-Rawhiti seat.
Sunday's Marae-Digipoll survey puts Mr Fox slightly ahead of Mr Horomia, with 47.1 per cent of voters choosing the broadcaster to 45.6 favouring Mr Horomia in the East Coast electorate. But a week before the poll closed, Mr Fox held a 8.6 per cent lead before allegations of historical abuse against women came to light.
In February, when Mr Fox hadn't been selected as his party's choice, 54 per cent of voters said they would have voted for an unnamed Maori Party candidate against the 31 per cent who picked Mr Horomia.
The poll also indicated that the Maori Party would sweep all seven Maori seats.
